Swap File #2: Website Links

1. Apple

I love Apple's website because it's so simple and easy to navigate. It's always the same, yet always getting better with the small changes they make to it all the time. I'm also an Apple fanatic, so that helps.

2. Upstruct

This website caught my eye on webdesignerwall.com. It's impactful, with the power palette, and the fact that the image and quote on the home screen changes when you load it just makes it that much cooler.

I absolutely love the simplicity and typography of this website. I also came across it on a design blog and immediately thought it was awesome. It lacks excitement and craziness, but has impact on its own because of the wonderful type used throughout.

4. Dave Barnes

Dave Barnes is one of my favorite singers and I completely forgot about his website until now. I remember seeing it and absolutely loving what I saw. I love the handwritten logo and type throughout the entire page. The color scheme is dark, yet inviting. It's just a nice site to look at and navigate through, which makes me happy.

5. The Things We Make

This is the online portfolio of Mike Kus, who works for Carsonified (also a great website). The colors in this are so bright and against the brown background, they pop out, which is interesting. I love the teal color he has going throughout the whole site. It unifies it, yet with the other colors, it doesn't come off as being boring. The typeface is great too. If I were to make a website for myself, I would want it to look like this.
